Tip: In this guide, "you" refers to the consumer using the portal. This helps you understand exactly what your clients see and do during their journey.
Introduction
The Consumer Portal lets vendors and landlords view offers that have been shared with them by their agent, and provide feedback directly through the portal. Agents control when an offer becomes visible to you, ensuring you only see offers that are ready for your review.
Summary
How offers appear in your portal
Offers are not visible to you automatically. Your agent will share an offer with you once it's ready for review. When they do, you'll receive an email notification and, if enabled, a push notification through the portal.
Once shared, the offer will appear in your Offers tab.
For Vendors (Sellers)
Viewing your offers
Your Offers page shows a summary for each of your properties, including:
Valid Offers – offers currently in a pending state
Total Offers – all offers received, regardless of status
Number of Cash Offers
Highest Offer Amount
Below the summary, you'll see a full list of offers for that property. Offers are sorted by the date they were created, with the most recent appearing first.
For each offer, you can see the buyer's name, offer amount, offer status, and the date it was submitted.
Viewing offer details
Click View on any offer to see the full details, including the offer amount and any notes your agent has chosen to share with you. If the same buyer has submitted multiple offers, you can switch between them within the detail view.
Leaving notes
You can send a note directly to your agent from within an offer. Notes you send through the portal cannot be edited or deleted — only pinned. Equally, any notes your agent has marked as visible to you will appear here, but you won't be able to edit those either.
Marking an offer as Preferred or Not Suitable
When an offer is in a Pending status, you can indicate your preference:
Select Mark as Preferred if you're happy with the offer. You can optionally add a note explaining your decision.
Select Mark as Not Suitable if the offer doesn't meet your expectations. Again, you can add a note if you wish.
Your feedback will be visible to your agent in their CRM system. You can update your preference at any time while the offer remains in a pending state.
Please note: You cannot directly accept or reject an offer through the portal. Only your agent can change the formal status of an offer. Your feedback helps your agent understand your preference so they can act accordingly.
For Landlords
The Offers section works in the same way as for vendors, but displays fields relevant to lettings:
Valid Offers, Total Offers, and Highest Rent Offer (pcm)
Each offer shows the tenant's name, the rent offered per calendar month (pcm), the proposed tenancy start date, offer status, and the date submitted.
You can mark offers as Preferred or Not Suitable in the same way as vendors, and communicate with your agent via notes within the portal.
Email notifications for offers
You'll receive an email when:
Your agent shares a new offer with you
A previously shared offer is updated
The same buyer or tenant submits a revised offer
Your agent will receive an email when you submit feedback (Preferred or Not Suitable) on an offer.
