Introduction
This article explains the required permissions and outlines the basic steps for creating a new segment.
Summary
Required Permission
Segment creation ability is determined by permission. Your Account Owner or Admin can toggle on the Segments permission in Settings > Permission Profiles > System Configuration > Segments. While there, they can decide if you should have the ability to create and edit the segments.
Adding a Segment
If you have the Create Segments permission, you can create a Segment by going to the CRM > Contact Segments and clicking the + Add New button at top right corner of the page.
When creating a new Segment, you can use filters to select the appropriate contacts for the segment. After confirming contacts, click on Save Segment at top right corner of the page.
Next, input segment name and choose segment type(Active/Static) for future reference. Remember to click Confirm to save the segment.
