This article explains the entry points for adding a new contact, the key fields, and adding agents as contacts.

Accessing Adding a Contact
If you have a new contact that you would like to add to the CRM to communicate with them, track their progress, etc., this can be done by navigating to the Contact List Page and then clicking on the "+ Add Contact" button:
Once you click the “+ Add Contact” button, there will be a pop-up window where you can input the contact's information. You must enter the contact's first name when adding the contact. Remember that you can always go back and add/edit more details to a contact's profile after they have already been added.
Key Fields in Adding a Contact
First Name
It's a required field when adding a contact
Email Address | Phone
You can add multiple email addresses and phone numbers for the contact, but only one email address and one phone number can be set as primary
Phone Type | Status
If the contact's number is labeled as landline/bad number, the contact will not receive any auto texts.
Consent to Contact
By selecting Yes for Call, Text, Email Opt-in, then it is permitted to contact these contacts via calls, texts and emails. By selecting No, it is not possible to contact these contacts via these communication channels manually or automatically.
Contact Type
You can choose either one or multiple types for the contact.
Mailing Address
The system will add a property to the contact automatically once you enter the address in this field.
Source
The source will default to "Other", but a drop-down menu is available to select from any of the existing sources already in the database.
Custom Fields
LoftyWorks supports using custom fields when adding contacts. You can set up custom fields in LoftyWorks settings with company owner/admin permissions, and then they will appear on the pop-up window for you to use. Please reference this article for more information: Custom Fields.
Once all of the information has been entered correctly, click on the "Save" button to create your new contact!
Adding Agents as Contacts
A user's email address can be used as both an agent/user login as well as an email address assigned to a contact. Admins may be interested in adding their new team members as a way to provide them with training via an automated Smart Plan that they have built out, for example. The email address can only be used once per team as a contact as well.
