Step 1
There are two ways in which you can initiate the Add Property process. You can either:
- Select + at the top of your screen and select Property
- Alternatively, you can select Properties from the side-menu, followed by Add Property
Step 2
Once you have selected Add Property, a pop-up window will appear asking you to populate the Property's information. If you know the Post-Code, you can enter this to auto-populate the rest of the Address information.
Within this screen, you can also
- Define the Property Type - This is used to specify whether it is a Residential or Commercial property. For example, your Property could be a Residential Terraced property
- Define the Service - This is used to specify what service you are performing on this Property. For example, Fully Managed
- Define the Reference - LoftyWorks will generate a Property Reference for you to utilize. This is used in Reporting and Finances. We recommend that you do not change this reference unless you have a specified format that you use
Once you have finished populating, select Add Property
Step 3
Once you have added the Property, you can associate the Landlord (or Landlords) with the Property as well as assigning a Property Manager (or Property Managers) to manage this property.
Linking a Landlord
This is done through selecting Add Landlord. Once you have selected this, you will be met with a Pop-Up window. If there is only one Landlord related to this Property, you are only required to add a Primary Landlord. If there are multiple Landlords related to this Property, you can select them using the Other Landlords box. Moreover, if you conduct a Pay-Out split to several different owners, simply amend the switch to Purple and populate the percentage share devoted to each landlord.
Linking a Property Manager
This is done through selecting Add Property Manager. Once you have done, you will be met with a pop-up window where you can link one, or multiple, Property Managers
