Introduction
After you have created your LoftyWorks account, it is important to understand how LoftyWorks is set up to help make the most out of it. In this Help Center article, we will walk through the top items you need to know when you are first setting up your account.
Summary
Workspace
Setting up your LoftyWorks Workspace is a key step in making sure your account is ready to go before interacting with clients or tenants via the CRM. The fields that can be edited in this section will be displayed throughout the system and in your communications, so it is very important to have your Workspace set up from the beginning. You will also configure whether you are using the system as a Landlord or as a Property Manager here.
Things you should have on hand:
- Company Logo
- Companies Name and Address
Navigate to Settings > Workspace
Workspace Type
Since Property Managers and Landlords will interact with the software in a different way, we have implemented a toggle that will cater the system to each type of need.
*IMPORTANT - we do not recommend changing this toggle once you have started to use LoftyWorks. It will change your workspace setup and you could lose data. Only make this selection the first time you are setting up your account.

*If you have defined yourself as an Agent, you must set up your Default Management Fee. To do so, go to Finance > Default Management Fee.
Property Hierarchy
LoftyWorks supports multiple different kinds of units and unit mixes. A Property is any single unit property. If you have multiple units, such as an apartment, office building or other multi-family building, you will link them together with a Parent Property.

Contracts
Once you have added your first Property, you can go ahead and add your first Contract. Each Contract represents a Rental Agreement with your tenant. Within LoftyWorks, Contracts can be used for your standard residential AST, as well as Commercial Leases.
Integrations
LoftyWorks integrates with all of your favorite tools to streamline your Property Management experience. When you are initially setting your account up, go to Settings > Integrations. From here, you can connect top tools such as Outlook Calendar, Gmail, DocuSign, and more.
