Integrate with DocuSign
To get started, you must integrate your existing DocuSign account with your LoftyWorks account.
Important things to note:
- Each LoftyWorks user will need to connect their own DocuSign account.
- Each DocuSign account can only be connected to one (1) LoftyWorks account.
- This means that if a team utilises the same DocuSign login credentials, only one member of the team can integrate DocuSign.
- If another team member integrates the same DocuSign account, using the same login credentials, the original DocuSign integration will be disconnected.
- If your DocuSign integration becomes disconnected, you will lose the progress display in LoftyWorks, but your Documents will still exist in DocuSign.
- For a DocuSign process created for a specific contact, only the user who created it can view it, and other users who have access to the contact cannot view the DocuSign process.
- DocuSign supports the following document types:
- DOCUMENT: .doc, .docm,.docx, .dot, .dotm, .dotx, .htm, .html, .msg, .pdf, .rtf, txt, .wpd, .xhtml, .xps.
- IMAGE: bmp, .gif, .heic, jpg, jpeg, png, tif, tiff
- PRESENTATION: pot,potx,.pps,.ppt,.pptm,.pptx
- SPREADSHEET: .csv, .xls, .xlsm, .xlsx
There are two (2) ways to connect your Docusign account:
Entrance 1: My User Settings → Integrations
Entrance 2: On the Progression/Application Detail Page
Ways to Start a DocuSign
There are multiple places where you can start a DocuSign send.
Progression/Application Detail Page→「...」icon
Progression/Application Detail Page→ Document Tab
You can either start a DocuSign with the current document you have open or upload a new document for signing.
Contact Detail Page→ [...] icon
Contact Detail Page→ Documents Tab
You can start a DocuSign with an existing document or upload a new one directly to DocuSign.
Send Documents to Docusign
Step 1: Add Document(s) to the envelope
You can add multiple documents to the envelope. They will form a pdf, which you can edit in DocuSign and add signature information.
Step 2: Select your Recipients
If you are starting in a Progression, the Owner, Buyer, Vendor and Negotiator(if available) will be listed as suggestions. You can also use the search bar to add any contacts, team member...
If the person is not listed or does not exist in LoftyWorks, you can add them to the DocuSign.
Step 3: Add Message
The final step that takes place in LoftyWorks is adding a message to your DocuSign. Once you have completed these setup steps, you will be taken into DocuSign to set up the signature fields on the document.
Step 4: Edit in Docusign
After you have added your recipients and clicked Confirm, the process will automatically continue in Docusign where you can add in your signature fields and send. If you need to edit the document in the future, it will have to be done in DocuSign.
View or Manage Your Progress in LoftyWorks
After you send a DocuSign document, you can view the status of the document in the Progression / Application or contact detail page (wherever you started).
- If you started the DocuSign in a Progression / Application, it will not be visible on the contact's profile. If you started the DocuSign on the contact's profile, it will not be visible on the Progression / Application. They are independent.
