Introduction
If you receive a high volume of new contacts each day, manually creating property alerts for each one can be time-consuming. LoftyWorks Auto Property Alerts helps streamline this process by automatically setting up property alerts for new contacts. Property alerts are created based on the contact’s initial enquiry and are continuously refined using their search criteria.
For best results, Auto Property Alerts are enabled by default for Buyer and Tenant property alerts. You can disable this feature or adjust the settings at any time to suit your workflow.

Accessing Auto Property Alerts
Navigate to Automation > Auto Property Alerts to set up automated property alerts.
Turn On / Off, Deleting Existing Auto Alerts
To enable Automated Property Alerts, select the Enable tick box and click Apply in the bottom-right corner. If you are a Team Owner or Admin and want these settings to apply to all team members, select Apply for team before clicking Apply.
If you disable Auto Property Alerts by unticking Enable, you will be given the option to delete existing alerts.
Clicking the deletion link will remove all existing auto-generated property alerts only. Manually created property alerts will not be affected.

These settings mirror those used when creating a property alert manually. After making any changes, be sure to click Apply for them to take effect.
- Exclude Source: This setting allows users to deactivate Automated Property Alerts for contacts from specific sources. Ticking a source will prevent contacts from that source from receiving automated alert emails.

*IMPORTANT: Changes to these settings will not affect Auto Property Alerts that have already been created.
Reviewing Auto Property Alerts on Contacts
To view Auto Property Alerts for a specific contact, open the contact profile and go to the Contact Automations Tab.
Requirements for Auto Alerts
Auto Property Alerts are based on Contact's Auto Preference Profiles
An Auto Property Alert will only be sent if the contact meets the following requirements:
The contact has at least one email address and matched source field configured in auto alert
Location field in the Preference Profile contains valid data
Recommended Alert Frequency
Based on user feedback, sending alerts too frequently may result in contacts marking emails as spam, which can negatively affect your email deliverability.
For this reason, we recommend setting Auto Property Alerts to Weekly by default.
If a contact becomes highly engaged or responsive, you may choose to create a manual property alert with a Daily or Instant frequency instead.
Frequency Reduction for Property Alerts
To protect email deliverability, LoftyWorks automatically reduces alert frequency for contacts who do not engage with emails.
The system adjusts alert frequency as follows:
Instant → Daily
If more than 6 alerts are sent within 7 daysDaily → Weekly
If at least one alert was sent in the last 7 days and the alert was created or last adjusted more than 7 days agoWeekly → Biweekly
If at least one alert was sent in the last 7 days and the alert was created or last adjusted more than 7 days agoBiweekly → Monthly
If at least one alert was sent in the last 7 days and the alert was created or last adjusted more than 60 days ago
If a contact opens a property alert email, the alert frequency will immediately return to its original setting, regardless of previous reductions.
Example:
If an alert was reduced from Instant → Daily → Weekly → Monthly, opening an alert email will restore it to Instant.
Note: This behaviour applies to both Automatic and Manual Property Alerts.
