Introduction
This article explains who can create, view and manage tasks in LoftyWorks, and how task permissions work across Contacts, Properties, and Task Management.
Task management is controlled by clear permission rules to ensure accountability.
Summary
Creating Tasks
Any agent can create tasks in the following places:
Contact detail pages
Property detail pages
Task Management
When creating a task:
The assignee can only be selected from agents assigned to the related contact or property.
Tasks may optionally be linked to a contact or property.
Managing Tasks
Who can edit, complete or delete a task depends on how the task is created and linked.
General Tasks (Contact-based or unlinked)
A task can be managed by:
The task creator
Agents assigned to the linked contact
Company Owner / Admin
All other users can see the task (where applicable) but cannot manage it.
Property Tasks
Property tasks follow stricter rules.
On Contact & Property Detail Pages
For tasks linked to a property:
Only the property’s negotiators and company owner/admin can manage the task.
Other agents cannot edit or complete these tasks.
Task Management Page
The Task Management page shows tasks based on role and context.
