Introduction
In LoftyWorks, every Lettings Application(non-cancelled) is directly connected to an Offer. This link ensures the application reflects the price, parties, and terms agreed during negotiation.
This article explains how Offers appear within Lettings Application, how the connection is used, and how agents can navigate between the two.

How Offers Connect to Lettings Application
A Lettings Application always relates to one Offer. This connection is created automatically when a Lettings Application is created from an Offer
Once linked:
tenants(s), landlord(s), Price and certain data flow into the application. These details remain part of the Lettings Application file
Further changes to the Offer do not update the application. Updates within the Lettings Application do not modify the Offer
This ensures each application reflects the accepted terms at the time the application began.
Where Offer Information Appears in Lettings Application
When an Offer is linked to a Lettings Application:
Tenants and Landlords
The Tenants and Landlords shown in the Lettings Application originate from the linked Offer.
Multiple tenants and landlords are supported
Primary Tenant and Primary Landlord appear first
Names link directly to their contact profiles
This ensures all communication, documents and chain logic use the correct parties.
Agreed Rent
The Agreed Rent shown in the application is the Rent Amount from the linked Offer.
Offer-related Date
Application submitted date appears in the application’s Dates section:
Navigating to the Offer from a Lettings Application (Linked Offer)
Inside the Lettings Application detail page, the left menu includes Linked Offer (only shown when a linked Offer exists).
Clicking this opens:
Offer Detail Page, if you have permission
Property → Offers tab, if you do not have Offer View permission
This provides a direct path back to the full offer history, offer terms, and tenant activity.
Creating a Lettings Application from an Offer
Although the full creation flow is covered in the "Add/Edit Offer" article, the key Offer-specific behaviours are:
-
When created from an Offer, the application automatically inherits:
Tenants
Landlords
Rent Amount
Expected completion date (if present)
Only one active or completed Lettings Application can be linked to any Offer
-
If a tenant has an existing active application from a prior offer, you may be prompted to:
Link to that existing application, or
Create a new one
This prevents duplicate applications for the same tenant and landlord.
