Introduction
In LoftyWorks, every Sales Progression(non-cancelled) is directly connected to an Offer. This link ensures the progression reflects the price, parties, and terms agreed during negotiation.
This article explains how Offers appear within Sales Progression, how the connection is used, and how agents can navigate between the two.

How Offers Connect to Sales Progressions
A Sales Progression always relates to one Offer. This connection is created automatically when a Sales Progression is created from an Offer
Once linked:
Buyer(s), Vendor(s), Price and certain dates flow into the progression. These details remain part of the Sales Progression file
Further changes to the Offer do not update the progression. Updates within the Sales Progression do not modify the Offer
This ensures each progression reflects the accepted terms at the time the progression began.
Where Offer Information Appears in Sales Progression
When an Offer is linked to a Sales Progression:
Buyers and Vendors
The Buyers and Vendors shown in the Sales Progression originate from the linked Offer.
Multiple buyers and vendors are supported
Primary Buyer and Primary Vendor appear first
Names link directly to their contact profiles
This ensures all communication, documents and chain logic use the correct parties.
Sales Price
The Sales Price shown in the progression is the Offer Amount from the linked Offer.
Offer-related Dates
Offer milestones appear in the progression’s Dates section:
Offer Submission Date
Expected Completion Date
Other progression dates (survey, legal, exchange, completion, etc.) continue independently.
Navigating to the Offer from a Sales Progression (Linked Offer)
Inside the Sales Progression detail page, the left menu includes Linked Offer (only shown when a linked Offer exists).
Clicking this opens:
Offer Detail Page, if you have permission
Property → Offers tab, if you do not have Offer View permission
This provides a direct path back to the full offer history, offer terms, and buyer activity.
Creating a Sales Progression from an Offer
Although the full creation flow is covered in the "Add/Edit Offer" article, the key Offer-specific behaviours are:
-
When created from an Offer, the progression automatically inherits:
Buyers
Vendors
Offer Amount
Expected completion date (if present)
Only one active or completed Sales Progression can be linked to any Offer
-
If a buyer has an existing active progression from a prior offer, you may be prompted to:
Link to that existing progression, or
Create a new one
This prevents duplicate progressions for the same buyer and property.
How Offers Influence Chain Building
The Offer’s party information directly affects how a Sales Progression fits into a chain.
Buyer–Vendor Matching
Chain suggestions use Offer party data to identify related progressions, such as:
A buyer who must sell before they can purchase
A vendor who is buying another property
Matching email addresses for potential dependencies
Suggested relationships help agents quickly build an accurate property chain.
Node Placement in the Chain
Based on relationships derived from Offers:
Related purchase → placed below
Related sale → placed above
Same email → placed above
This allows chains to reflect real buyer and vendor movement.
