Rent Payment Via Tenant Portal
Our integration with National Processing allows us to bring you a fast, affordable method of collecting rent directly in the LoftyWorks Tenant Portal.
Your Tenants have two different ways to pay rent:
- By ACH
- Fee: 50 cents
- By Credit Card
- Fee: 2.1%-2.8%
You have the option to pass along the fees to your Tenants by setting the dollar or percentage to upcharge.
Here is a summary of the process:
- You submit the Sign Up request in LoftyWorks > Integrations
- National Processing reaches out to assist you with the application process (1-2 business days)
- National Processing conducts underwriting – (2-3 business days)
- Once approved, National Processing provides your merchant logins and API Keys – (1-2 business days)
If the application is returned in a timely manner, your account can be set up in as little as 7 days.
To get started, you will go to Settings > Integrations > National Processing and complete the National Processing Set-Up form.
Here is what you can expect when National Processing reaches out:
- You will set up a contract with them for whichever payment method you would like to support.
- If you want Credit Card and ACH, each will be a separate contract.
- You will need to provide National Processing with a bank document validating your deposit account (typically a voided check or bank letter)
- You will need to provide National Processing with 3 months of bank statements
Once they have all three, your account will be submitted to underwriting. Underwriting will typically review the account for 2-5 business days.
When approved, National Processing will ensure that you can log in and access your API credentials. There is a separate set of API credentials for ACH and Credit Card.
Once your account has successfully been set up and you have retrieved your API credentials, you will head back to LoftyWorks > Settings > Integrations and click Connect under National Processing.

Once you enter your Keys, you will configure your fees.
Once your fees have been configured, you are ready to start collecting rent directly in the Tenant Portal!
