We have a powerful built-in document management system designed to empower users in recording and managing critical information related to tenants, properties, landlords, and finances. In this Help Center article, we'll explore the ins and outs of our document management features, enabling you to streamline your operations and keep all your crucial documents organized within LoftyWorks. Summary
Document Management
Before we get started, it is important to define the language LoftyWorks uses to avoid any confusion. In LoftyWorks, the Contract is a dynamic feature in our system that ties in to accounting, tasks, renewals, and properties.
A Document is any file related to:
- The Property (such as Title, Inspection Reports, or Rules and Regulations)
- The Landlord (such as Insurance policies, Payout Agreements)
- Templates related to the Contract (Tenant Background Checks, the signed Lease Agreement)
- Other documents, as needed (Environmental Compliance Documents, Legal Contacts)
To view or manage your Documents, click on the Documents tab.
Across the top, you can filter by File Name, Landlord, Document Types, and Status.
To upload a document, click the green Add Document button. This will pull up a standard drag-and-drop or browse document window.
Supported file types: .DOC, .PDF, .DOCX
Max file size: 20mb
In the next step, you will outline your Document Type and Expiration date.
Lastly, you will link the document to a Property, Contact, Contract, or your LoftyWorks Drive.
Document Reminders
You can set when you would like to be reminded of an upcoming document expiry date by going to Settings > Reminders and scrolling down to Documents.
