Introduction

LoftyWorks allows you to manage all of the properties that you work with. Individual homes, units, or doors are a Property and multiple units in the same building can be grouped together under a Parent Property. In this Help Center article, we will cover adding a Property.

Sync from Lofty

You can connect your Rental properties from Lofty to LoftyWorks. This will instantly sync all details and photos from the property. Any changes made after the platforms are connected will immediately transfer to the other platform - meaning, if you add a new photo on LoftyWorks, it will sync to Lofty before you have a chance to refresh the page! 

Add Property

There are two ways in which you can initiate the Add Property process. You can either:

• Select + at the top of your screen and select Property

• Alternatively, you can select Properties from the side-menu, followed by Add Property

Add Property Details

Basic Information

In this very important section, you add the property address, property type, management level.

This is also where you set:

• Property Managers
• Primary Landlord
• Other Landlords
• Landlord payout split, if applicable

Landlords + Landlord Splits

This section is important. The settings you choose here determine how your landlords are paid out in the system later. 

If there is only one Landlord related to this Property, you are only required to add a Primary Landlord. If there are multiple Landlords related to this Property, you can select them using the Other Landlords box. If you conduct a Pay-Out split to several different owners, toggle the switch ON and enter the percentage split. 

Once you have completed the basic property information, click Next.

Supplementary Details

These details include beds, baths, year built, square feet, and description. This is not a required section, but it is used to provide details on the listing syndicates. 

Photos and Videos

Here you can add photos and videos of the property. At least one photo is required to take advantage of LoftyWorks' property marketing tools. 

PHOTOS:

• Supported formats: .png .gif .jpeg, .jpg
• Max file size: 5 MB
• Maximum photo amount: 30

VIDEOS:

• Supported formats: .mp4
• Max file size: 300 MB
• Maximum video amount: 3

Marketing Details

This section is where you select unit amenities and financial details, such as rent and lease terms. The financial details you enter here will be used to form your invoices. 

Once you click "Complete", you will be taken to the Property Detail page. From here, you can market the property on Zillow's Listing Syndicate, message your landlords and property managers, view documents, report maintenance issues, and manage contracts. 

Now that you have added a property, you are ready to add your first Contract!
