This already-released update reworks the work order creation process, allowing you to add more detail when creating a new work order.
Overview
In this update, we add work orders to a task. Each task can have multiple work orders, which appear as a tab in the task pop-up.
Old vs New Work Order Creation
Work Order Fields
Priority
Ranges from Low, Medium, High, and Urgent
Charge To
You can mark the new work order as being charged to the Tenant, Landlord, or Agent of the property.
Supplier
You can select a supplier or create a new one if not in the list. The supplier will be fulfilling the work order, whether it means fixing a plumbing issue, or conducting repairs.
Clicking "Add New Supplier" will allow the user to create a new contact with the Supplier type.
Access Details and Main Contact
You can assign the Access Details, which determines who will physically allow the supplier into the property. You can also add the Main Contact, which will be the first person the supplier can reach out to.
Access Details and Main Contact
Landlord Approval Required
Clicking "Yes" in this field means that the Landlord will need to approve the work order before it starts.
Selecting "Yes" will reveal a checkbox, which you can check off if the Landlord has approved the work order.
Sending the Work Order PDF
Once the work order information is filled out, you can access it by clicking on the work order tab. You can then generate a PDF of the work order or Edit the information.
Generated Work Order PDF
Finally, if you would like to send the work order information to the supplier, you have the option to "Share PDF". Clicking that button will open a new email in the Communications tab, where the supplier will automatically be set as the recipient. The PDF of the work order will be attached to the email. You can then fill in the Subject and body of the email before sending.
